Future MN’s mission is to focus the political conversation and agenda in Minnesota ahead of the 2018 election to include these issues that are critically important to the state and its residents.

Climate Change

Climate change is not only a quality of life issue for Minnesotans, shorter and warmer winters are quickly becoming an economic and security issues, thanks to chaotic climate and severe weather events. Solutions to combating climate change should take an prominent role in any political discussions.

Healthcare

Ask any Minnesotan and they’re concerned about skyrocketing healthcare costs and the threat of financial ruin brought on by medical bills. There’s also the issue of access, especially as funding for low income and rural systems are threatened. Moving our state’s healthcare system to cover everyone should play an prominent role in any political discussions.

Voting Integrity

Minnesota remains a robust democracy with some of the highest rates of participation in the country! Safeguards should be put in place—including combating unfair gerrymandering, election interference, and voter disenfranchisement—to keep it that way and voting integrity should play an important role in any prominent discussions.

Net Neutrality

Open access to information, including fair and equitable access to broadband and the internet, helps Minnesotans stay informed and exercise their freedom of speech. With new challenges to net neutrality and lack of digital infrastructure in greater MN, growing access and safeguarding its fairness should play an important role in any prominent discussions.

Gun Control

No parent should have to worry about their child being shot and killed while going to school in Minnesota. While the state should continue its proud tradition of outdoorsmanship, solutions to solving the spread of gun violence through the state should play an important role in any prominent discussions.
